It's not April where you are or something, is it? How many time zones would that take, anyway? Approximately... Saturn? You actually made me wish I had a camera, to see just what "incredulous" looks like. I would have bet on you two being there to turn out the lights, too, leaving Tarryk sitting in the dark with a bottle of rum, wondering where to go from there. And a few loyal listeners and dancers trying to keep their candles (or flaming muffins) from igniting the lampshades on their heads.
But you're leaving early. The party's not over yet. So who's going to remember to turn out the lights when it is? Those candles won't have the same effect with the lights still on. See, now ya gone an screwed it all up.
My various alts have had a blast at so many of your shows over the years, and without ever really having a clear idea of just what it is Kira does, so she must have been doing it real well. Your love for the music and the parties and the community... no, family, have been clear all along, so I can imagine how hard this decision was for both of you. You must have come to this conclusion because you're sure it's the right thing for you and for GSP, so there's no need for any guilt.
Yes, of course we'll all miss your shows, Ash. And I'm sure we'll miss how smoothly Kira has kept things running behind the scenes when we start to see loose cogs rolling away from behind that curtain. Thank you both for all your hard work, for all the good times and happy memories you've given us over the years.
Given a choice, I'd rather not find out what Gotham will be like without Batman, but I'm sure it will be an adventure. Batman and ... the Commissioner, I guess? ... taking their leave at the same time. Hey, that's not a bad idea. They should totally BSG the old Batman series, recasting Commissioner Gordon as Barbara Gordon all grown up.
Best of luck to both of you on your RK4 team mission. See ya later. _________________ Do not try to think outside the box, for that is impossible. Simply realize the truth; there is no box. |

I'm not sure what to write that hasnt been already been said or thats overly cliche.but hey I made it to the forums if it counts for anything.
..unfortunately im a horrid writer so it'll come out not as good as I intended >.<
You'll be missed! It's not every day a hero of GSP decides its time to move on, and all we can do is support you. You're show has been a highlight in my weeks of the last year or so I've known of GSP. Safe to say it wont be the same without the weekly doses of Dark Tranquility and the Metal Minute
good luck in all you do! .. and dont be afraid to pop in every once in a while and say hi im sure you'll still have many many fans who'd appreciate it! |

woah? Veldron leaving?
A goodbye show by you would even be a reason for me to log into game once again. But since I will most likely not be close to a computer early January, I will at least log in in my thoughts. Everyone has to move on at some point. Have a blast with your last shows and enjoy whatever comes after.
Best wishes

I had to wait a bit to post get passed the WHAT? LEAVING!!! *Starts digging through pockets to come up with a bribe to get him to stay, finds a pair of Opi chicks to dangle in front of him…*
Seriously, Veldron was my first GSP show and got me hooked, also got me listening to a number of bands and wondering “How did I miss them?”
Thank you for many pleasant Thursday nights.
I wish you and Kira the best. The rumble room just will not be the same. _________________

I have read and re-read and re-read this post and I'm still ready to cry. I know I haven't been here very long in the GSP sphere, but I've fallen in love with everyone.
Ash, your music and voice will be missed by everyone who's ever heard your show, and your smooth administration will be missed by every member of the staff past and present.
Kira, I'm not sure what I'll do without knowing you've got our backs with your bazooka style and your rough-edged but kind heart.
I'll miss you both very much. _________________

This is quite a surprise, I never thought to see the day Ash is leaving GSP. You and Kira have both been huge contributors to GSP and AO and you will be missed. In the end though, it is probably best to step down if what you do is not enjoyable to you anymore.
I was never able to tune in your shows as much as I would have liked, but I always enjoyed your shows and the music you played. AO won't be quite the same anymore without you and Kira. |

I'll miss you. I still miss the old State of Delerium days, when I could be up all night through the shows, through the marathons, through the sunrise. Throughout a lot of freelance projects, that special going a little crazy kept me sane. Even though I can't keep those hours anymore, don't even get in game that much, it still felt good, and right, and true to know that somwhere in the middle of the night, you kept watch over the DOOM! and the random hockey sirens and big bird and rum (even if that's slightly less rum these days.) And by 'you', I mean both of you - when I picture Veldron stood on the boxes, Kira is always by his side.
BUT
If this what feels right for you both right now then it's absolutely the right thing to do. No guilt. You've both given way more to GSP, than could ever be repaid. We're forever in your debt.
Just promise you'll stay in touch on Facebook, okay?
*hugs*

I...
I just...
I still don't know what to say. I'm going to continue staring dumfounded at the monitor, sponaneously bursting out laughing when I picture Klinical in a hugely oversized pair of pants.

Strange post to read, hard to fathom, but it's understandable. You were always one of my favorite DJ's on GSP, and you'll forever be Veldron in my mind
Thanks for delivering many an utterly kickass shows, both during my time in AO and after (and yes, I've tuned in often even after I left Rubi-Ka). _________________
