This thread is in Chai's forum because he sorta brought it up on air.
Women constantly complain "It's so hard to find a good man"
well... let's find out why.
My last "serious" relationship was 3 years ago.
I met a nice young lady; she was 22 back then, I was 25.
she was a Libra, and I'm a Gemini - the perfect match.
we dated for a year then moved in together.
8 months after that, I relized that she was the one for me.
I went ring shopping, found one that she would've absolutely loved but it costed $2499.
I started to work some overtime in order to buy her that ring so I could pop the question properly.
3 months pass, I finally bought the ring with the overtime earnings.
I kept it in my safe deposit box at the bank until our second aniversary.
on our second aniversary, I managed to talk my boss into letting me go home early (I made up the excuse that the overtime was wearing on me)
I bought her flowers, candy and got the ring out of the bank deposit box
I come "home" (her apt.) early and quietly sneak in, I wanted to surprise her.
heh... I was the one in for the surprise cuz when I got in the bathroom, I found her in the tub WITH HER SISTERS FIANCÉE!
I didn't say a word, I just dropped the flowers on the floor, went to my computer, ripped out the hard drive, rolled my sword collection in my blanket and left. leaving everything else behind.
to this day, that wound hasn't healed and it probably never will. |

Wow. That is absolutely horrible! I can't begin to imagine how traumatizing that was for you. Don't give up though, dude. I can understand that a situation like that would leave some serious wounds, but don't lose all hope, because there are also some good women out there who would love to be with a nice guy and spoil him rotten. Trust me _________________

I don't think I can adequately imagine how much that hurt. I'm really sorry to hear you had to go through something like that. That sounds like the backstory to some slasher flick or serial murder mystery. We're not going to hear about you and her sister team-stalking oversexed camp counselors or something are we? Just take it easy with those swords, huh?
Sorry, humor just makes a good defense mechanism. Seriously, though, Sprkly's right. Don't give up on all women. People are all different, and she apparently just wasn't the right one for you yet. Maybe you weren't completely wrong about her, but she needed to make some stupid mistakes on the way to growing up some more first. That's pretty common at that age. Whatever her story is, there was a man there doing the same thing to someone else, so you can't blame it all on the fact that she's a woman. Just blame her. And maybe him, too.
Still a good reason for taking a break from dating and relationships for a while. Just a while, mind. Time and distance can heal a lot. And the next one will really have to earn your trust. _________________ It is by will alone I set my mind in motion.

Love is fantastic because your fiancé loves you. However she might also love everyone else you know in the back of a van.
Yeah I also have a similar story, but I tell ya what...
Was the BEST thing that ever happened in my life. Betrayal doesn’t heal quickly if ever, but my god I saw her a few years later and had never been happier that she left me. Real eye opener that I was pretty blinded by what good I saw and had ignored the bad too long.
Good luck and come on down, the pit welcomes you, many friends here.
Bottom line is that human trash has no gender preference, good luck to all. _________________ They call me Goobucket

Like a wise man once said, love's the funeral of hearts. It's great when it lasts, but when it dies, you need to make your peace with it and try to move on. _________________ Best known for my cameo as Sunserro during GSP shows. |

*snuggles* I'm sorry you had such a bad experience. Nearly everyone has had at least one heartbreak that still twinges every now and again. Time doesn't heal wounds of the heart, only makes them more bearable. Take your time to mourn, however long that is.
As an opinionated, independent Scorpio woman I tend to have my demeanor mistaken for coldness, rudeness or simple apathy because I get formal when uncomfortable or hurt. My ex-fiance made this mistake & left me for his best friend's wife. Still hurts 5 years later but I refuse to let his decision cause me to miss an opportunity for affection. Actual love? Well, that's to be determined, as I lack prospects. _________________

no but neither is cheating. and if a person reacts with violence it is a emotional response and can by law claim involuntary manslaughter in a deprived state of mind. _________________ I live large and fast!!!!!! d(*_*)b |
