Hello everyone,
I'd like to start making simple AO comics. I have several scripts written. I was hoping to be able to take screen shots. Then cut, paste and add things to them. I know I'm probably going to need a pen and graphics tablet. Does anyone know a good free or cheap paint program that I could use?

Adobe Photoshop (7.0 is ok), Aura Video Paint 2.5 (not sure about updates it was the one we was using at infography school)

GIMP.
No, seriously. GNU Image Manipulation Program. It's the free open source alternative to Photoshop that's just as powerful, but without the corporate backing and bookshelves full of tutorials. It does have an increasing collection of tutorials and websites and more user-made plugins than you can shake a leet doll at, and I could teach you some. I use it in Linux, but it works in Windows, too.

paint.net isnt in the same league as GIMP or Photoshop, but its more powerful then MS paint, its what I recommend.

I use Gimp(FREE) or Photoshop Cs2($$$) also for that type of stuff Flash would work hm or adobe image ready cs2 would work.
this is what I use for my graphic arts.

Oops. Sorry. I was kinda wondering how all that appeared "since my last visit" but I didn't think to check the times. Still a neat idea, though. I'm guessing you never got very far with that, Das? Or did I just miss it somehow?
